So, you may or may not have heard about the website called Influenster. It is a review based website, you review products, answer questions, ask questions, and share opinions. By doing these things you increase your influenster score, therefore making yourself more eligible to receive a box of products to actually test out! There are several different categories for the boxes given out, some of these include: Eco, Gamer, Fashionista, Jetsetter, Sweet Tooth, and Beauty Queen. There are many more as well.
Some of the recent boxes sent out were a college themed box, a cosmo box, a holiday treat box, and a holiday box. Throughout the year they send several other ones as well. It seems like about 2 or 3 a month!
So recently I was sent the Holiday VoxBox! Who doesn't love getting free products?! I know I do! So, here is what I got in my box!
So far I have tried the Goody quickstyle brush, the Kiss nail dress, and the New York Color Liquid Lipshine.
The Goody quickstyle brush is AH-mazing!!!! My hair is medium/long and very thick, typically, blow drying takes about 15-20 minutes. WAY TOO LONG!!! I have been stuck putting mouse in my hair and scrunching it, or just putting it up in a messy bun... but my hair is quite nice when it's dried and straightened it just takes far longer than what I typically have time for. However, this brush cut the drying time down from the 15-20 mins to 3 minutes!!!!! 3 MINUTES!!!!!! I have done it a handful of times now and seriously, no exaggeration, 3 minutes!!!! I probably wouldn't have bought this brush if I saw it at the store, but I am sooooo glad I got it and now can enlighten all of you! GO BUY IT!!!! :)
The Kiss nail dress is pretty cool as well, it comes with 28 different stickers to put on your nails, so you get more than one use out of it. I put mine on Saturday night and it is now Wednesday evening and they are still on without any peeling up. They are meant to last 10 days, so I will keep you posted!
Next up, the NYC Liquid Lipshine. I am addicted to any sort of lip anything, gloss, lipstick, pigments, pencils... you name it, I love it! If you haven't seen any of Jenna Marbles youtube videos, your missing out...
Seriously, one of the funniest videos of hers you'll ever see. It is kind of eerily accurate which is probably why it makes me laugh so much. If I emptied my purse out, there would probably be close to 10 lip 'things'.... So, back to NYC lipshine... The color I received is a pretty nude just glossy look. It does have a sort of odd coconut scent to it, I hate coconut, but the scent isn't so awful that I can't wear it. I actually like the gloss, its pretty much like any other lipgloss to just give your lips a little shine. The staying power was pretty average I would say, I talk a lot so tended to reapply every couple hours. It isn't overly sticky either. For $2.50 it is a pretty good deal. Because I have so many 'just give your lips a little shine' I probably wouldn't repurchase it again until I ran my collection down a bit, then I may consider it.
The other two I have not tested yet, I do not like oatmeal so my husband has been designated to eat that for me and give me a thorough review. I will keep you all posted after those have been tested!
I hope you have had a good day!
**Daily tid-bits**
**There was a large snow storm today, so it finally feels slightly like Christmas time, even though Christmas was yesterday. Merry Christmas, by the way!
**Because of the snowstorm I was sent home from work a bit early... it has been a nice evening at home, I could get used to this!
**I bought a bunch of new makeup today, I made my first ever MAC purchase!! Crazy, I know... reviews to come after I use the items!
